IPv6 is disabled on all systems in the pool as well as the serverĪll machines involved in the RDSH have static IP addresses. I have attempted disabling the firewall on both the Server 2012 box and the Windows XP Box, there is no antivirus on either. RDP Connections directly to the computers via their hostnames works perfectly. When the VM is on, and the client attempts to connect via an RDP file downloaded from the RDWeb, the RDP connection hands on, "Securing Remote Connection. When the VM is off, the RDSH will turn the VM on, however the RDP client hangs on, "Loading the virtual machine" the machine turns on and the RDP client On the other hand, the Vista and XP VMs (Both with integration services) do not allow such behavior. In addition they handle user sessions perfectly. The Windows 7 and 8 VMs will turn on if they are off, and will allow a user to very quickly use the RDweb portal to gain access to them through the connection broker. Windows 7 and 8 worked out of the box, while the Vista and XP VMs have had nothing but problems.
So I set up a Server 2012 VDI solution with a pool of VMs of different OSes.
